I'm aware of those old disk drive things. There just aren't many repair shops here, most retailers sent broken things back to the manufacture to be repaired by them. I don't really fancy buying them on ebay either, because i don't buy things on ebay.

The paper mirror isn't cut by me, it came like that. It's from a old and long discontinued survival kit made by BCB. Don't know the name, the label was printed in german and french. I bought several of them. At the price of a whopping 50 cents, they included the "mirror", fishing kit, sewnings awls, small ferrosium rod and not much else. Really low on contens, but well worth the 50 cents.

Ah.. I've got stacks of the old drives laying around collecting dust, so I guess it's a matter of perception (I think they are rather common). <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I need to find a cache of goodies for 50 cents... maybe time to hit some garage sales and see what I can find - it's been a while.
