The question always seems to be, what to put in an FAK. I usually lean toward what I have needed over what I might need. So, what have folks needed and used recently?

Last weekend at my parents' house, I was toe-nailing ballisters on the deck I rebuilt... Anticeptic ointment, standard band-aid, medical tape to keep the bandaid from falling off from sweat. I had cleaned it out in the sink with soap and tap water, but would have used wound wipes and/or hand sanitizer.

Re: recent thread, I had a tetanus shot last fall.

Triple antibiotic & bandaid at son's baseball game on Thur. night. I needed the medical tape because it kept falling off due to sweat. I see the other posts where others were better prepared - I have tape in larger FAK but didn't have that with me - that will change. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I replaced it when I got home. You just never know when you could need it again.

Flex Fabric bandaid, but the most used item is the splinter forceps/tweezers .

The last thing I used was 2 packages of ketchup( Old Turkish remedy), for a bee sting. It works better than anything I've found. Without it, my eyes would swell shut. And yes I did replace it immediately. I keep it in my glove box and in my purse as well. The older it gets , the better it works so I don't have to change it out.
