some nice things i like to have with me at all times is a hammock and a tarp with parachout cord and mosquito net. set up hammock then make a rain roof with the tarp an throw the mosquito net over the hammock and your set!<br><br>

Yes you are! And I recently found a guy named Ed Speer (www.speerhammocks.com) who makes a great sleeping bag for simple hammocks like the ones you and I use.<br><br>It's under 2 lbs and stuffs as small as any bag I've ever owned.<br><br>The neat thing is that it goes around the OUTSIDE of the hammock, so it beats the backside chill common to hammocks. I tried one out last weekend.<br><br>You can put it on after pitching the hammock -- it's got a full-length velcro closure and drawstrings at the ends.<br><br>A bit pricy ($180) but that's what you'd pay for a bag anyway.<br><br>And this way you don't have to carry a sleeping pad until you get well below 40, I'm betting.<br><br>Bear
