For those inrerested and for your reading pleasure I offer the following web sites; Remote, Austere, Wilderness and Third world Medicine, Wilderness Medical Society,Medical Corps, and Global Medical and Rescue services. Granted, this reflects one of my proclivties (personal defence/wilderness medicine/ and wilderness skills), but I thought there might be some interest here. To post a lint click on the URL to the right of the smilies. Then go the to web site you want to post and cut the address from the address box. then come back here and paste the address in the URL window that pops up. The next box lets you put in some text to describe the web link. Like this Wilderness Survival

To post an image go to a web page you like and right click on the picture and select properties. Highlight the part that has the address for the picture. Then when you are back here click on Image. It will pop open a window. Paste the address to the picture. When you click the continue button the picture will appear in the preview screen.

You're right about not needing title/diploma to learn medicine. I was the OPS boss onboard the USCGC DRUMMOND, until they gave me the additional duties of "Medical Officer". My specialty was: OB-GYN!
