I'd be interested to know how many extra M2 RSKs were made over the 170 of each size that were planned.

The issue of more than 170 full-size RSK Mk1 HS knives has been brought up and we would like to let everyone know what is going on.

Doug Ritter and Aeromedix.com had contracted Benchmade to make these M2 knives with the specified amount of M2 steel Benchmade had on hand. Using computer modeling, Benchmade estimated there would be 170 knives in each size possible out of this M2 steel. That's what we planned on and publicized. Much to everyone's surprise, Benchmade was able to manufacture 240 full-size RSK Mk1 HS and 170 Mini-RSK Mk1 HS. We feel that this "error " is a blessing in disguise as the response to this knife has been overwhelming and we are happy that we are able to offer an additional 70 full-size RSK Mk1 HS knives Thanks for your continued interest and support of Doug Ritter and the Equipped To Survive Foundation. We aplogize foir any confusuion.
