What does one look for in the liner, all i see is a brass colored thing..?

I've tried three of the colman wire saws... Let's just say that your other saw (the one I was interested in, and since I'm making a WallyWorld run tommorrow I'll look there) will probably be of more use to you.

As for your other post, if you all you see is a yellowish tinge, it doesn't have the plastic liner. The ones I've seen are hard to miss- a soft white plastic.
