Does anyone have any experiance using the Becker Necker starting a fire using a firestarter, i.e. Magfire etc...? It seems the expoxy coating doesn't want to work very well when scraping aginst the firestarter. Do you have any recommendations.
Has anyone removed the coating from the blade???
thanks

Remove some of the coating on the spine of your blade with a file and it will work fine. But w/ the coating it doesn't work very well.

I have a Becker and the finish has been removed. It works fine with a Mag-Fire Pro. I never tried it with the epoxy on but as mentioned removing a bit from the spine should do the trick.
