Guys, when you post on these threads all you are doing is keeping them at the top of the page, thus assuring that more people see them. Please don't post on them. Instead, either hit the "notify moderator" button or PM Chris K. Chris will delete them when he gets a chance.

Funny. I have never seen a "notify moderator" button.

Besides, if I keep on posting, maybe one day I can quit being a "newbie member." I figure that I have close to 300 posts to go. :P

Underneath every post there is a line that says "post extras" with 4 small tabs, one of which is the notify button. Sometimes it does not work though, so then I send a PM.

That is odd that they have you as a "newbie". Others with far fewer posts and/or less time don't have it. I don't remember ever getting a title at all. Probably just a glitch.

The other thing about replying to the forum spam is if you reply, we get more of it. Down at the bottom of every post dialog screen, there is check box to have replies sent to a "real" (sic) email address. By default, it's unchecked, and most of probably don't even conciously see it. But that lets them know we are worth bugging.

Now that they are here, they won't go away, but if you ignore forum spam, it won't get worse.

I don't remember- when we signed up for this outfit, was there a confirmation email we had to send? It isn't much, but it will at least keep the number down.

Up until now, this feature was turned off. It is now turned on. We are also hoping to upgrade the software to the latest version which is a bit more spam-proof.
