This is a good way to light your tinder using a Wind/Waterproof match:

Take a piece of tinder (I used Coghlan's Emergency Tinder) and stick a wind/waterproof match thru the length of the tinder, exposing just the top of the match. Then lite the match.

The advantage is that the intire match is used for lighting the tinder, and that you don't have to pull the tinder apart, so it's a little more waterproof.
