Non-Equipped people would neither know nor care about the difference. We could lecture on it!
I was just browsing the Eton website. The radio we're talking about is the ARC (American Red Cross) FR400. It's twin, the ARC FR350, has shortwave instead of NOAA and TV-VHF but otherwise seems identical. So, name your poison--you can get either one in this nice package. Actually, this radio is starting to grow on me. I'd go with NOAA/TV myself, but that's just me.
the Eton /Grundig have reinforced plastic dynamo springs. i like the Freeplay plus radio. steel dynamo spring ,solar panel , LED light. 2 shortwave bands, AM , FM. a little pricy ,but if your looking for something that will last , I'd pick this one. (IMHO ) I have one and its GREAT
