Eagle Creek doesn't seem to carry anything remotely useful now for an NSK (Notebook Survival Kit). See "Cliff's Neat-o EDC Daytimer" (http://www.equipped.org/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=campfire&Number=24735&fpart=&PHPSESSID=) thread for a refresher.

Not exactly the same, but may fit the bill.

We're heading in the right direction. I'm looking for a padfolio type of thing in which I could carry a first aid kit.

I've experimented a bit, and I can winnow down what I carry on my person, in terms of blade, light, and whistle, but decent first aid kits get a bit bulky.

Mead makes a line of binder covers that might work. They've got a bunch of little pockets inside and out.

They also make a pouch that fits into a three ring binder, about 10x5 and you can stuff a lot of stuff in one.

Any of the big box office supply chains should have them, along with most of your bigger department stores. I have a number of the binder covers that I've used for years, and they've held up to some pretty interesting use.

Craig:

Alas, Eagle Creek seems to have dumped my iteration of the 'ol Travel Organizer for good. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

My suggestion is to take a look at Duluth Trading Company. They're mostly geared toward the construction trades, but they have some pretty good binders, protfolios, and briefcases. I bought one of their "Fully-Evolved" briefcases several months ago, and am pretty satisfied with it - sturdy, holds lots of files and drawings, and has beocoup pockets for gadgets, etc. Even has a place for the 'ol NSK.

Hope this helps,

So I noticed. I looked at Eagle Creek and they were no help at all.

Duluth looks interesting, though.
