a plastic signal mirror is to prone to scratching for any other use than signalling. They will almost get scratch by just looking at them!

I carry a dirty cheap glass mirror in my cleaning kit, you know the onces you normally find in a womans purse. The plastic thingy it's mounted on seems to do a pretty good job at protecting it. I don't really shave, but i use it to check for ticks and stuff.
