I was just wondering if anyone else includes water bombs in thier survival kit? i think they are a good addition to use as floats for fishing, 1 or 2 in a kit take up virtually no room and and add no wieght compared with lead split shot/sinkers. They can be inflated to various sizes and used from estuary to ocean fishing, and are also good for suspending live baits under. Also i include a 40mm starlite/glow stick, witch i can put inside a white water bomb to use for fishing at night.

I prefer the balloons that can be used to twist up balloon animals. I know it sounds kind of silly, but you can partially inflate one, twist off as much as you need for a float, tie it there, cut away the rest, and have excess balloonage left to make more floats. Plus they have some that are bright flourescent colors.

I like the idea about using a small light for night fising with a balloon float. Great idea!

How big are they, and how easy to they fill? They might make a nice alternative to condoms and breast milk bags for watery carriage.
