Have you guys ever had bed bugs from staying at hotel? I saw several news reports that showed hotels didn't clean the rooms throughly. yikes. A woman had multiple bug bites.

No, but I've had a spider bite or two. Any place skanky enough to get bed bugs should be avoided. If it's happening in name brand joints, I'd say a small fortune could be in your someone's future (negligence, medical expenses, pain and suffering, health code violations, etc.)

"A woman had multiple bug bites."

At least that's what her lawsuit alleges.

Never heard of bed bugs in a hotel room.

But, I did stay in a Holiday Inn once that had a severe ant problem.

apparently bed bugs are making a comeback. they were virtually erradicated by the 1950's because of routine use of strong pesticides in homes, hotels, etc. i first read about them in a cnn article. basically, bed bugs are hardy blood suckers that can live up to 1 year without feeding. they tend to hide in every conceivable crevasse, hitch rides on people luggage and clothes, (yes, they'll come home with you) and at night, come out to feed. and it gets even better. the new bedbugs are fairly resistant to pest control chemicals. if you wanna be creeped out tonight, read the abc news article.

here's the abc news article:

here's info from the harvard school of public health:
