The PSK-X is a bunch of secondary items that are nice to have. X stands for auxilaury; nothing I can't live without, but I'd like to have them. They are largely duplicated by my bag of tricks, and then some, so if I have my PSK and my BoT, I'm happy. This just makes me happier.

container:
Altoids tin, sealed with black electricians tape, 5x ranger bands

contents (by layer):
2x x-acto blades, tapped to lid
2x large eye sewing needles, tapped to lid
4x small fish hooks, taped to lid (not the best method)
2x tylenol allergy tabs
2x cotten balls
2x tinder tabs
~8' duct tape, wrapped around a skewer stick
~18x18" heavy duty aluminum foil (the small metallic tablet-looking thingy)
sunburst (I had the space to fill, it fit perfectly)
~1oz salt
oven bag, cut down
12x potable aqua tabs, repackaged and labeled w/ directions
lighter (thanks to Coastie for the idea with the toothpicks, where ever he is)
10x tylenol tablets, repackaged and labeled w/ directions
6x small screw eyes, on a small safety pin
candle, in a zipper bag
~8' brass wire
~3" insulated wire
~30' 20# spiderwire fishline

When it is first opened:

And when it is fully unpacked:

For Christ-sake man, how much HD sewing needles can you have! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
You got 6 in the PSK, PRK and PSK-X. Afraid you lose one?

Just kidding. It's just that I can't find any in Holland. It seems that they are not available anymore. (no, they are not prohibited!)

I mean those heavy-duty ones with a big eye. Normal, tiny ones I can get, but no cavas- needle-style

Try checking with a marine supply store, sail needles are about as stout as they get... good luck!

Well, the easiest way for me to get them is in a pack that holds a dozen or so, so, since redundancy is usually a good thing and they really take up no space, why not?

As for finding them, try a sewing store. Ask for carpet or leather working needles.
