So my youngest got ear tubes today for the third time. After the procedure, we were waiting around making sure the anesthesia wasn't going to make my child sick, and this child decided that some "owies" earned over the weekend needed band-aids. Without hesitation, I pulled out my "cuts and scrapes" FAK and got a regular old band aid out. Then my wife said, "Wait a minute, I've got something better..." and pulled out a travel container of cartoon character band aids. My child was delighted and I got to thinking that maybe I need to tuck a few of those away in my kit.

Amazing thing is that my wife started carrying something like that everyday! <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Feel proud about your wife (and maybe your part in her EDC)! If you made her carry those bandaids it was great work.
Those bandaids are really great for children. They can kill a lot of pain. You could learn to paint your own with a ball pen. If you´re any good at it they beat the commercial ones. You should also learn the skill of creating an elephant from latex gloves. Smaller children are sometimes really crazy about them.
