Ziploc water container in the newer issue MRE's. Put 16 oz water in one and drop-tested it on kitchen tile (never said I was a genius!) from about seven feet--end result, not one drop spilled.

Does anyone know of a source for these? Or something similar?

Where did you get this? And it is for HOT beverages ? I think your drop test was highly prudent IMO.

I've got three of them from post-2004 gov't issue MREs. They are designed to be used with the MRE heaters, which won't _quite_ boil water, but get it to about 190 degrees F...my seven foot drop test onto the kitchen tile was conservative.

I've thrown them at my garage door from ten feet and not had them blow open.

What's weird is that the plastic used to make them seems to be the same consistency as the MRE heaters...not as heavy duty as an IV bag; about 3 or 4 mil. The ziploc is a standard ziploc type, just a bit thicker.

Those bags are awesome. I have about a 1/2 dozen now, spread out between kits. They've survived repeated 7' drops from my cellar stairs to the concrete floor below...

That's an awesome bit of kit.
I need to get a hold of a couple of these.
