I'm looking for a place to buy one of these. I'd like one that's about the same size as the one in the DR PSP. I have a spare slot in my wallet and I think this would be a good item to put there. I see Areomedix sells a few of the PSP components alone, but not the magnifiers. I've searched but haven't come up with anything yet. The thinner the better. Anyone know where to find these?

Thanks in advance.

I found mine at Officemax. But any good office supply store should have them.

Save on the shipping and call around to your local pharmacies... many carry them in the cheap reading glasses section or for travel/books. I know I've seen them before at Wal*Mart - but haven't looked in ages... my local super center has an optical department, might even be in there.

Try www.bepreparedtosurvive.com under the Misc. Items section. Got them for $1.50. Great site for all your survival needs!

Office Max, Office Depot, Staples all have them. Cool thing is they also have them in 8.5" X 11" (size of a sheet of paper) for 8 or 9 dollars and you can cut to any size you need.

lukus. You just wasted 8 or 9 dollars. Buy the size you need. Cutting up those full sized lenses only ruins them. The invention of the fesnel lens was because it was found tha only the curve of a convex lens is what causes the magnification. The idea is that the inside of the lens is removed. The first were glass this removed most of the weight. Then the lens is seperated ad pushed flat into concentric rings. Actually the cast the glass lenses flat on one side with a series of rings of curved glass.

If you look closely at the plastic lenses they appear a series of ringgs converging at the center. If you could look closely enough you would find that the inside of each rinng is fllat while the outside is curved toward the inside. If you could seperate all those rings you could stack them up to form a convex lens.

If you cut one of the large sheets the only one that would work woul;d be the one made from the center. Sorry to disalusion you.

Well, if you cut one, it actually WOULD work, in a sense. But the focal point would be off to the SIDE of the lens. Curious, but true.
