It was nice reading your story. Do you know if someone documented the rescue effort itself, for example, by taking some pictures?

I do not recall anyone with a camera. Since this was weekday and towards the evening, there were no bystanders. Unfortunately (or fortunately), for the most part everyone on the rescue had one or more tasks to perform, which would have precluded anyone from taking pictures even if they had a camera.

Hey, I know that place! I used to go Smallmouth Bass fishing in the Potomac down below. That is some rugged terrain, nothing but shattered, sharp rocks. Tough job, getting someone out of there.
