I used to have a coughlans 4-1 function whistle, it almost fell apart, after some use and the compass got stuck. Not recommended.
i would add some lighting things: like flashlight or headlight. The light sticks usually aren't very reliable. *edit* i see you got 2 LED lights, missed it the first time. Mine experians with multi LED lights with more than 3 or 4 LEDs are in general bad. Most of them are not very reliable and made very cheaply.
might post more later, have to go to class first.

First of all, for what situation is this kit made for?
I seen some contents with a 2 in front, although reduncancy is importent, carring to much makes a kit to heavy. Which means it will be more likely to be left behind. Assuming this is just for one person. If it's for 2 persons, you might consider having 2 kits instead. That way you will never end up with no survival kit.
i see a compass, but no map.
getting a combination or sunscreen and insect repelant, saves time and space.
and some questions:
where is the syringe for? whats a zip-knife?

The coghlan's whistle has a compass, but the primary compass is the Recta baseplate compass.
There are 4 flashlights in the kit: Photon, flashlight and 2 headlamps
There are no razors in the kit, but utility-knife-blades. They work fine.

The kit is made for a 'averaged'24 hrs or longer survival, BOB situation in a normal klimate. The kit is made for two persons, I never go alone in the outdoors, and I don't want to give the impression that I'm expecting that something will happen. Therefor I carry the survival equipment.
A compass is just included, because it is expected. The number 1 rule is to stay where you are!
I didn't know that there was a sunscreen/repellant combo available.
A zip-knife is a tool to cut a seatbelt after a emergency, also called a 'raft/ emergency or crash- knife'. It is included because most of the kit's contents is vacuum-packed.
The syringe is included for all sorts of things, like draining a blister or in the worst-case-scenario, to preform a tracheotomy. (Yes, I know how to do that)

Good pack. I might suggest a 2l water bladder in addition to what you have already, a cell phone and tiny earbud radio, a jacket of some sort -- maybe lashed on top.
I never liked the tube tent -- quite heavy. Maybe a superlight backpacking tent?
Think about a street/ region map and list of friends/ relatives to contact.
