The kit is made for a 'averaged'24 hrs or longer survival, BOB situation
in a normal klimate. The kit is made for two persons, I never go alone in the outdoors, and I don't want to give the impression that I'm expecting that something will happen. Therefor I carry the survival equipment.
A compass is just included, because it is expected. The number 1 rule is to stay where you are!
I didn't know that there was a sunscreen/repellant combo available.
A zip-knife is a tool to cut a seatbelt after a emergency, also called a 'raft/ emergency or crash- knife'. It is included because most of the kit's contents is vacuum-packed.
The syringe is included for all sorts of things, like draining a blister or in the worst-case-scenario, to preform a tracheotomy.
