I have said elsewhere, on the forum, that the only thing wrong with the saw on the Leatherman Wave is it's size. I have just purchased a pocket saw with a 6" blade on it. At a botanical garden in Oxford, England. Yes, the tree's are all still there and no I didn't test every tree & plant for it's medicinal & firelighting properties. Unfortunatly. But, the point that I wanted to make is that usable equipment can show up in the oddest places. I'll post a report on the saw when I have time to properly abuse it.

You're very right, I've found a sierra saw and HD garbage bags at a gardeners store,surgical tubing in a bicycle repair kit, HD aluminium foil by my granddad, and many other things on other odd places......

BTW, I couldn't find those flexible sunglasses in the Netherlands, so I improvised with a piece of photo film, works great!! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yes it is. It's not very big. Pleasant place to spend an afternoon. They do two sizes of saw. I purchased the smaller size. Tried it out last night. Interesting thing about it is it's a pull saw. That is to say that it cuts as you draw it, not as you push it. Very efficent, went through a 3" diameter branch like it wasn't there. Perfect.

That's actually a good thing. That way, you don't need to be 100% functional to use it, you just need to able to hang onto it, kneel, and try not to completely fall over as you wobble. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Addendum: The saw is a Pocket boy 130. Brand name is "SILKY". made by UMIKGYO INC of Japan. They do several other designs.

Google turns up several sites selling it, but none that I could find local to the states. Looks interesting though.
