I have modified my Maglite AA with the Nite- Ize LED and pushbutton switch. Maglite's have always been let down by their bulbs and the short battery life. The LED package redresses that problem. Given that no AA torch has any real range to it the 10 meter range of most small LED torches is not exactly an issue. If I need serious punch I reach for the surefire.
