Does anyone use Atwood products? Prybaby Basic, Bug Out Bar and Keyton caught my eye. However, I'm thinking that the price might be a barrier for me. It just seems like it's a little pricey for something so small. Opinions?

From what I have been reading, every one who has on is very happy with his products.

I've got a Tad edition Prybaby and one of his 3 way screwdrivers and both are a awesome bit of kit. Yeah, they are pricey but you only have to pay for quality once. Plus, he's a really nice guy to deal with

I have a basic PryBaby which I'm not entirely happy with. It makes a lousy bottle-opener. However, I do like the look of the KeyTon and especially the Modified KeyTon (in the Area 51 section). In fact I just emailed Atwood with some ideas for a modified Modified KeyTon that I thought might fix the things I don't like about the PryBaby. I quite fancy the idea of having a custom piece made just for me. We'll see.
I carry a Prybaby every day and they are certainly solid and well made. I don't often have opportunity to use it, but I find it comforting to have a strong chunk of metal on me.

I have a basic PryBaby which I'm not entirely happy with. It makes a lousy bottle-opener. Could you elaborate on why you're not entirely happy with it? I've pretty much seen rave reviews, so I'm interested in a different impression. And many people agree that the tools seem pricey, which I don't mind as long as the quality matches the cost. My wife thinks I'm crazy for paying $40 for an Arc AAA (even thinks I'm crazy for paying $20 for a DR Photon...but I notice she still has hers on her keychain where I put it). She'll probably freak when I decide on some of Mr. Atwood's products, if I let her know how much I spend on them. But as Brad (I think) said, you only have to pay once for the quality.

I don't understand how these little pry bars help a person in emergcy situation. The pry bar is too short for leverage. I am clueless here. Can someone explain to me?? |
