Light khaki cargo pants and a bat-belt are my solution. My EDC is the same in the winter as it is in the summertime. But then again, I'm in NYS, where 90 degree days are the exception rather than the rule.

Steve and Barry's has decent light cargo pants for $8 or $9. I really like them. But then again, I can be a cheapskate when it comes to clothes sometimes.

I like Columbia's convertible cargo pants/shorts. I can zip off the legs if need be (though you should wash the legs anytime you wash the shorts). They are exceptionally comfortable and fit me well (YMMV) and they are really good quality. They have plenty of pockets and make for good carry pants that can convert for really hot weather. Usually I just wear a belt (yes, even with shorts... ) and put everything else in pockets for EDC.

This year, I'm probably going to get one of the Tech hats that has the built-in hidden pockets as well.

The same belt pouch I use in the winter. I usually have a light ruck or shoulder bag with me, and that carries my bag of tricks and a water bottle.

Most of my every-day carry is in my pockets. I also have a waist-pack that I continue to wear in summer. I don't put a whole lot in my jacket pockets, partly because even in winter I don't wear my jacket indoors. At work it goes on a coat rack which is not even right by my desk.

Until recently I had a few extra items in a money belt, but the buckle broke. I hope to replace it.
