This link does not mention it, but I heard that they were WATCHING the searchers on TV and it MUST have been horrible, when they watched the searchers give up, assuming that they were dead!!!

No communications, either. CB's and FRS radios are cheap. A couple of years ago, the CAP in Colorado found a lost church group by scanning FRS channels. They overheard chatter between the main group and a smaller group which had set out to try to find help.

Housesitting for people and you know there are drugs in the house? How stupid is that? Also stupid is even suspecting that the police are looking for you and grinning into a TV camera.
