The site you mentioned was what we were constantly logged into after the storm. Before we could get back into the city, it was the most reliable source of intel I could find. The Intercosmos crew at "Camp Crystal" did a tremendous job of keeping the only Net link in the city going, and of being the BEST source of what was happening during all of the chaos. Unlike almost all of the "media", these folks were in the thick of it for weeks. They had several live web-cams up 24/7 looking down Poydras and St. Charles - we watched looting, the 82nd Airborne arrive (that was impressive), fires, and the general mayhem that was New Orleans right after Katrina. And they posted hundreds of images taken during their times roaming around the city, and they reported their impressions. When I would hear some amazing comment from a reporter, I would log into the Interdictor and see for myself. Mostly, the reporter (surprise, surprise) got it flat wrong.
IMAO, the Intercosmos Media crew shoudl be given an award for what they did.
My $.02.
