I remember reading about someone menting making a belt out of parachute cord, aka 550 cord, a while back. Does anyone know how to make a good belt out of parachute cord???

As a less functional but more traditional-looking option, a braided leather belt may work in some situations. You could unbraid it into individual strands. It would help if it isn't worn-out as tends to happen to my belts.
