I recently discovered the usefulness of the utility vest (like the one professional photographers wear). for a few days my dog was sick and needed to go out many times in the middle of the night to do business. well, whenever he had to go outside, i decided instead of fumbling around with keys, wallet, cell phone, poop bags, flashlight, etc. while i was half awake, why not just put everything in the multiple vest pockets and have it ready to go. i swear it was a lifesaver. so far i had only used it for camping but man would all those pockets come in handy with every day stuff. if i wore one everyday i'd never forget a thing and wouldn't have to rearrange my pants pockets every time i got in the car. of course to use it every day i'd have to get over my fear of "it looks kinda dorky to wear a vest that makes me look like a national geographic photographer." all those pockets sure are handy for everyday stuff as well as the usual knife, flashlight, cell phone, etc. etc. etc. anyone wear a vest regularly? if so, what do you carry in all those pockets?
