The kick is the replacement for the discontinued "Sideclip", however the Sideclip came with a pocketclip, where, with the kick, you usually need to order it. I prefer the old sideclip, but the kick is a great tool. It's a good size and has the basic stuff that I use pretty much everyday. It doesn't have the file, saw, scissors, and serrated blade- so if you require any of them it might not be for you. I also like the little hex bit adapter you can buy that slides over the philips screwdriver to let you use both standard and leatherman flat bits. For $19.00 I would pick one or two of them up and throw them in a desk or glovebox. I have mine in my desk at college and people borrow it all the time.
