There are all sorts of solvent resistant compounds out there; why, with all the choices of survival knives, would anyone choose to carry a knife that was lacked durability?

If I was stuck in a situation where I was having to cut a fiber/rubber fuel line (for instance) I certainly wouldn't want the primary tool to start falling apart.

Thoughts?
