Greetings everyone. Just wanted to post a quick note to say hello, as I'm new to the board. I learned of this board from a poster in GlockTalk.

I am a police officer with a small township in northeast Pennsylvania. I have also been a member of a local search and rescue team for 8 years (but currently not active for various reasons....mainly I don't want to be affiliated with any of the local teams). I was an EMT, but my certification ran out and I never got around to renewing it. And I've been a volunteer FF for 6 years.

I am always interested in survival and preparedness issues and topics. I look forward to meeting and discussing with everyone. Hopefully I can relate some valuable information, but more importantly, hopefully I can learn a thing or two.

Thanks for having me.

Brian
John, Political correctness implies both a right and a left wing. I offer the example of the goose, who ,lacking one or the other soon becomes cooked.

Chris,

OOPS!

Does that mean that my goose has been cooked?

Anyway, Chris, I've never said anything against having a left wing; I've always been too ashamed to ever admit having one.

Chastened village troglodyte now skulks back to cave, never again to laugh at anything political (no matter how hysterically funny it might seem).

John

P.S. I'm still ROFLMAO

OOPS! Sorry. Won't let it happen again. (Arduously contorting face to suppress laughter).

John,by all means go ahead and laugh. If you don't, politics will bring you to tears. Above my monitor is a B/W photo of two men posed at a future park; Theodore Roosevelt and John Muir. That represents my politics and puzzles everybody.

Chris,

TR has long been one of my heroes too. And I certainly have no quarrel with your esteem for John Muir either. Their vision & work pioneered in our conservation programs. We are very fortunate to have had such leaders.

I also really appreciate your sense of humor.

John

Yes, children; and people from all over the world with different religons, political philosophies and life experiences. Now we can become another good old boy cyber club spelling California with a K,exchange ground squirrel recipes and fume about former presidents and how prone the Chinese gun you bought to defend our free economy is to jamming. Or, we can learn about wilderness and urban preparations.
