I'm with sheep dog. A Boye basic clipped in right front pocket, swiss tool spirit in a drop pouch in left front pocket, and a D2 neck knife that I made myself in a kydex sheath also made by me. this is my EDC. When I get home and change into my sweats for the night I just keep the neck knife on. That can be reached by either hand.

I carry my folder, which is either a mini-RSK or a Spyderco Navigator, clipped to the right front pocket, and as far to the side as it will go... this way, it doesn't get in the way of my keys which rest inside the pocket.

I had the pleasure of visiting your fine City a number of years ago. Hope one day I can return. It is the most wonderfully cosmopolitan place on earth. The "fine" city is also the "lion" city IIRC. Have a great day.

This thread came at the perfect time. I was just contemplating this the other day but instead with the leatherman. Does anyone else practice retrieving, opening and using there multi tool with one hand weak and strong?

strong hand with leatherman wave is not a problem with the 2 knife blades and the plier, everything else requires 2 hands.
with weak hand I can open the plier, but the knives take a bit of acrobatics to open and close.
either way, can't really access the inside bits without 2 hands.

I've wondered about how comfortable wearing a LM Charge with a clip would be. I can't imagine that think hanging off my pocket. Even in a sheath it is a big knife.

My old Leatherman Crunch is on my belt, weak side, in the leather pouch that won't stay snapped. I can retrieve it easily with my strong hand. I can work it one handed only with difficulty. And I'm sitting here in my comfy office with no adrenaline flowing.
My full-sized RSK is clipped to my strong-side front pocket, as far towards the hip as it will go. Retrieving it with my weak hand is doable but requires me to twist my torso a fair amount. If my back were injured, it'd be a problem.

Actually I felt the same way for a long time. Finally, I tried it, and believe it or not, I hardly know it's there, being all the way to one side of the pocket. I have no intentions of going back to the pouch. However if you must carry more large bits than the 2 (XTi) or 1 (Ti) can handle you may want the pouch to hold the other bits in the back, unless you can carry them elsewhere. Anyway, using the clip instead of the pouch cuts down on bulk dramatically.

Glad you enjoyed the visit! Yes, Singapore does mean 'lion city' in Bahasa Malayu, although there were never any lions found in the region. Who knows where the lion came from, but no matter the name stuck.
It is a nice place to live in, except that there are not many outdoor persuits here, most places on weekends are crowed as can be, but there are some outlying islands nearby and the indonesian islands of batam and bintan offer some green away from the city. Its all shopping eating shopping eating!! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Have a nice day!
