I have been looking at this knife for almost a year and keep going back and forth as to weather I should get it. I was hoping for some feed back as to SOG's reputation and the quality of the materials used in this knife. Any feed back would much appreciated. Below is a link to a reveiw of the knife.

I have a SOG Seal Pup which I like very much. I've never heard a bad review about the SOG line.

Opinion?
Too big as a folder.
Blade design looks like it's designed for stabbing someone. (Is that your intended use?)
Serrated blade not particularly useful for most applications. (And a pain to sharpen.)
Overpriced for what you get.
Well.... you asked.

I know it is big and kind of expensive and that serrations are a hassle but I like the big blade because it gives a lot of room for serrations (which have there place) and a strait edge. I am defiantly not looking for a defensive weapon. All logic dictates that this is a poor choice for edc (which it will not be) but I would like to see what benefits can come from a large blade with serrations.
With that said thanks for the input I now have a Ka-bar Dozier and hope to upgrade to a RSK but the Pentagon Elite would be fun to ?play? with.
