I have used Gorilla Glue in a few different applications that I would not normally use "Elmers" brand, and the Gorilla Glue was Exceptional. It seems to hold rock solid on porous material mated to hard surfaces, such as attaching nylon strap to a plastic toy rifle (sling). I tried to pull the strap off and it was firmly attached. I cannot attest to wood because I have not tried it.
