Hi, I have a new Wave. When I open and close the pliers a few times it affects the tightness of the plain blade making it easier or more difficult to open. I think the posts might move a bit. The serated blade is usually very tight and hard to one-hand open.

Is this normal? Thanks.

I don't think it was related to plier movement, but my blades on a charge were too tight on one side. It turned out to be extremely easy to adjust the bolt using a small flathead screwdriver wedged into that tamper-proof torx head. Now i have the tensions perfect.

That's definitely not normal. I have a Charge, and the blades all open and close very smoothly, with minimal effort (But they are tight enough so that they only open when I want them to).

I have a new wave and I'd say this is definitely not normal. You should be able to get this repaired by LM and they can check over the whole unit for other irregularities (replacing parts if need be).

If you choose to adjust it yourself, invest in a set of tamper-proof bit heads. You can get a plastic case of 20 in the most common sizes and formats for about $10 if you look around. They are useful for taking apart some electronics equipment. It's also fun having those with you when you are bored in a bathroom stall... Wait, did I just say that outloud?

Ditto

I bought my son a "New" Wave for Christmas. It was a little tight when new, but after some use it is now nice and smooth!

Send it back to LM. I'm sure they will fix it for you.

A Wave and a Mora and you are good-to-go!
