I am not accusing anyone of anything, but I am suspicious by nature and profession. If this person truly has health issues and cannot get his new business started, then I hope things work out for him. BUT, here is what I see as possibilities:

1) English is not his native written language.
2) When confronted by even minor things, he becomes defensive and tries to shout you down.
3) No background data.
4) If you read back through his posts (here and on his own site) he talks about currently living in the NE and SE United States. So, which is it?
5) If an offer is too good to be true, then it is probably a scam.

I have written about identity theft here before, and the collective response was silence, or that it only happens to other people. Maybe so. Send him a check (complete with your checking account number and routing number on the bottom, and name and address on the top) or your credit card number and expiration date (he will also need your name and your zip code to process the card). Please let me know how it works out for you. After all, you are only paying for shipping.

I think that I will sit by the sidelines and wait this one out.

I went and looked. He's giving away a large supply of what looks to be army surplus gear.
I know he says he's doing this for health reasons , but..... If it was me I'd aleast try to re coup my cost of the gear.
There is a very long list of goods being given away for shipping cost only.

I have to say on a side note , that when i first arrived at this forum everyone was very friendly to the newbie (thats me)
I've picked up alot of very good knowledge and tips.
I remember this guy getting pissed off real easy at this forum.
not sure why? I'm very leary about offers that look to good. I'm not a very trusting person .sorry to say. I'll be very interested inseeing what developes from this "free to a good home " deal

Dude... I didn't point any fingers at anybody but myself, and I brought it up again hoping some of our fellow members could be part of a win-win situation, I don't want to be part of... or the cause of... an arguement, I just thought I'd bring the offer to light. As far as new members' approach goes, I've felt that I might have been the cause for shut down threads in the past... ya live and ya learn...
