Does anyone know if the grit paper's rating/index is the same all over the world ?
Or are there differences between the rating used in the US and Europe, for instance ? (like for temperatures : ?C and ?F)

2000 seems a large number for me... I have not much experience in this field and numbers in th 800-1000 range seem more likely to be found here in France.
Or should I go to an car parts/accessories shop and ask for 2000 grit paper ??
