Got a "Tracker" for a great price just few weeks back. Used it around the house a little but real test is comming up in few weeks with shelter building excercise. But impressions so far:
-heavy
-really thick blade
-sharp and it holds the edge
-comfortable grip
-good leverage for choping tasks
-medicore saw
-multi purpose usually means decent for many things but not perfect. This saying holds true for this blade as well.
-with all honestly if I only had to have one knife that would be it.
-remember atax/atac tool? Tracker beats it 1000 times over
-original sheat is strong and durable but I bought a custom made leather one that fits nicer on the belt

That's a beefy blade!

I just downloaded the Tracker Knife Manual pdf (half way down the page) to get an idea about its capabilities.

I've been looking for a good knife with the capabilities that Brown's Tracker seems to have so I can't wait to read how it works out for you.

Well in few weeks I'm getting 2 days off so I'm going up with a tracker, strider, few feet of paracord and I want to build a shelter. Blade will be put in thru chopping, digging, sawing and other tasks. We will see. Will post the review than and pic of my hut <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
