If your plan is to stuff it in a kit and not use it too often then go for the MagFire Standard ($12), BUT if you plan to play with it a bunch (and how could you help but use it all the time), then go for the MagFire Pro ($22). Yes it costs more, but remember that each time you scrape the fire starter you're scraping off a bit of material. The Pro will last a looooong time even with regular use. Its not all that much larger/heavier, but the rod is muuuch thicker.
