I sold a few of those and there was a big number of new SAKs that had malfunctioning lighters or at least not very trustworthy ones. This is something that is totally unlike Victorinox, whose quality control is excellent (specially considering the huge production numbers).

I wouldn't recommend these knives for a survival kit. You're better off with a regular SAK and a bunch of Bic Lighters, water/windproof matches and a firesteel. You'll save some money, too. Those Campflames/Swissflames aren't cheap!
