I just received my SwissTool Spirit Plus from My Better Half. It was a Christmas present that had been back-ordered. The tool is great, but with the bit wrench and corkscrew stored in the sheath, the sheath itself is a bulky item.

For those who have a SwissTool Spirit Plus, how you are doing carrying the sheath on your belt?

I was thinking about stowing the bit wrench and corkscrew separately from the Spirit, and buying a lower-profile sheath to hold the just the Spirit itself.

Is this a good idea, and where can I buy just the sheath for the Spirit?

separate sheath for you spirit is avaible almost at all victorinox retailers, well atleast in my country. i have the spirit plus also, but don't wear it on my belt often. My EDC is a huntsmen and when i'm outdoors i carry it in my pack, without any of the bits. Only on my belt when i need it for my job(rarely) and i prefer my older swisstool X for my rough jobs at work.

I have the non plus model Spirit in a leather pouch and its 1 inch thick (26mm) where the flap folds over when closed, not including the belt loop.
How thick is the plus pouch? (include millimeters if possible)

Mine is about about an inch and a quarter thick, excluding belt loop and flap. That would be about 3 centimeters.

Craig, I have the plain Spirit, and its sheath is hardly larger than it is. It's brown leather (or a decent fake), and doesn't stand out. I wear it at the office, and under a blazer it's invisible. Without the blazer, it seems to blend with the black belt and dark pants and no one has commented on it, though they probably wouldn't comment if they did notice. So many people carry cell phones on their belts that it doesn't seem declasse to most folks nowadays to have something hanging from your belt.

If you exclude the belt loop and flap, mine is 2 cemtimeters.

Well there you go. One centimeter's difference in depth is quite a lot in this instance.
