O.K. guys( and ladies) I came online this morning (23 April) and there were 10 people reading or posting! Now I know I have an unusual ( sad looking friends and relations say non existent) profession. But 10?on a Tuesday? I suppose your supervisors are at the coffeemaker chit chatting? OUT!OUT! Back to work ( I have horses to work and a possible Archaeological survey to grovel for.)

Maybe depends on the timezone they're in?

Right now, it's just coming up to 10am Pacific Daylight Time. But it's 6pm here, and I've finished for the day, drinking a can of Coke, and waiting for the Simpsons to start! :-)

Tis nearly 4pm on a Friday in the PNW and most of the office has headed out for the weekend... I too shall follow... once my carpool swings round this way.

If it's 10:00 am PST, then it's 1:00 pm EST here in the states. I could have been on at lunch.

No Idea really. I work from home, so I come on any time I need a break. Sometimes it's a good thing.

Some folks here at work go outside for a cigarette (many times a day). Others head down to the cafeteria for a coffee.

When I need a mental break I head here, to my friends at ETS.com.

I can't wait for that day... I think that my wife isn't so thrilled about me having that much "free time" on my hands.

You buy a RV, live in it full time, moving around the country volunteering as camp hosts at state/fed campgrounds. Gives both of you a reason to get out of bed in the morning, but does not work you to death, and you get to see a lot of the country...

I'm semi retired dude and work 4 days on and 4 days off so my weekends rotate. I can't vouch for the others but my alibi is water tight.

I will work till I drop. I have no concept of retirement, only career choices. Look back a hundred years and tell me who retired back then? You only quit what you were doing if you no longer needed an income and had something better to do, or if you simply weren't able to anymore.

From my perspective, and this is wholly my own observation I know, reitrement means being discarded.

Perhaps that really isn't so different from what OBG is talking about anyways. After all, I know some camp hosts, and I wouldn't say their world is all leisure. More like part time flexible work load.

Who knows, I may end my days making saddles and wallets for a living.

I'm a college student. I've got nothing to do but homework, class and play online. Fortunately, this semester I don't have internet in my apartment, so it's cut down on my usage a little.
