I'm looking for any information I can find about the making/use of piston and cylinder type compression fire starters. So far, I have been very unsuccessful. I saw one once about 25 years ago. you pumped the piston in and out of the cylinder a few times, then pumped it once more, slowly, in your tinder, and viola! Fire!
