A few months ago my wife, by total forgetfullness on both our parts, made two flights with her Cold Steel Mini-Pal on her keyring in her purse. "They" never batten an eye at it (must have missed it), while they went nuts over her underwire bra. Had they noticed the Mini-Pal I am sure that they would have snatched it right up, and now four (4) inch scissors are OK??? What's up with that??? I could cut a guys head off with four inch scissors!!!

It's a P4 (with pliers, not scissors), which keeps company with a Fox 40 whistle and a CMG Infinity flashlight ... not to mention the 4 keys and keyfob that also hang out on my keyring.
I wasn't sure what the TSA folks would do, so I was also carrying a self-addressed stamped padded envelope -- just in case they insisted that I couldn't carry it on the plane.

Thanks ... I've been posting on the forum for a couple of years but my profile has been eaten a few times, so the # of posts figure is inaccurate.

This forum has experienced a few crashes over the years. I've been a member since the 1990s.
The forum has returned from each crash better and stronger than before, with more robust software. Onward and upward.

Yeah, but read the tiny print way at the bottom - that ugly little word DISCRETION is in there, which means, as always, that the TSA can do whatever it wants, to whoever it wants, whenever it wants.

But of course. I'd expect that legal CYA lingo from the Feds.
