Do you think it might be a good idea to put some artificial fishing bait in PSK? From my experience, sometimes it is very difficult to find a bait in some places.
If it goes to PSK, it should be artificil that it does not decompose quickly. What will you use? It should be something you have already tried, improvisations sometimes to do not work, unless you tried it before. I saw a lot of artificial baits in fishing shop, but do not know what is the most universal for fishing in sea, lake, river...

Duckear posted once about including some Powerbait in his outdoor PSK. He put it in a small screwtop pillbottle. If I were to include organic bait that's what I would pack. Of course it's good trout bait--I have no idea how it works on warmwater species, if at all.

I have a small fishing kit in mine consisting of:
12 feet 10lb spider wire
2 small hooks
4 bb sinkers
2 trout dry flies

These are placed in a 3 inch section of soda straw and the ends sealed. In testing the dry flies catch fish consistently, usually small bluegill and suckers.
