If they went out after the looters, they'd be facing adverseries who were ready, willing, and able to fight back... 'course, the flip side is, their hands are tied when it comes to dealing with REAL criminals... God, I'm glad I'm not a COP, and to the good ones out there, thank you.

There are good and bad in every field, cop, construction worker, doctor, teacher, ad-infinitim. The officer's family has my deepest sympathy, but in this day and age (radios in cruisers, helicopters on patrol, thoroughly manned forces) what was he doing in a high speed chase... the rest of the country is almost daily being played and replayed video of California chases that go on for hours to avoid such tragedies???
