I've been waiting somewhat patiently for the rollout of your fixed-blade knives. Any new information?

I know you don't want to give rollout target dates, but I mostly want to know if you are still planning to roll them out at some time. If so, I'll continue to wait as patiently as I can.

Any chance they'll show up at the SHOT show?

I'm eagerly awaiting Doug's fixed blade too...but today I ordered a Benchmade 180 Outbounder to tide me over..

Yeah, I'll have to admit that I've had my finger on the purchase button for a Bark River Knife & Tool North Star at least three times, but each time backed off. I know its a good knfie, but I want to see what Doug is working on.

So far I've purchased every one of his products (both size folders, PSP, and the microlight) and been VERY impressed with each one. I just KNOW whatever Doug comes out with for a fixed blade will be equally impressive.

ken- i agree..doug designs some fabulous products...i have the survival kit. i added a few items of my own...and it rocks. i also have a brk&t northstar, it has mosaic pins and osage orange handle scales...i just love this knife..add my bark river mini-canadian and you have an excellent trio for any situation..but i sure can't wait to see doug's fixed blade....mtnfolk mike

<sigh> Yes, it is still coming; still any day now; still frustrated.

OTOH, it has been tweaked recently to make it even better, so the wait isn't a total waste.

Nobody wants this released any more than me, except maybe Benchmade who are probably tired of me calling and emailing and calling and emailing and... <img src="/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />
