OK guys,

I've been sending postcards in each Magfire order asking for pictures of people using their Magfire - or at least pictures of the places people use their Magfire, if you're too shy to be on the screen. So far - NOBODY has submitted anything!

Also - I'm looking for some content regarding natural tinder. If anyone wants to submit some ideas for what kind of natural tinders work in different parts of the world, I'd love to add that to the site.

For example, here on the east coast, I've found that dried wildflowers burn like crazy, are easy to find and make fantastic tinder. How about folks in other parts of the USA? The world?

Everyone who submits content is entered into a monthly drawing to win 2 free Magfires.

Oh, also, did I mention that sales PLUMMETED when the ETS special ended? Yeah, that $2 price increase was too much, apparently, so I have (with some trepidation) cut the pricing on Magfires to $10 and $20 for the standard and pro respectively. This is the price all of you got, but now I'm offering it to the general public, so if you know any members of the general public, rather than just the "equipped" kind please let them know.

ALSO...I'm (finally) able to fulfill wholesale orders, which is quantities of 48 or more (any mix of Pro and Standard), ideal for a scout troop, ham radio club, SAR team, what have you. Contact me for pricing.

SO, then, I'm a nobody? Hmmm.

The pic you grabbed from me was taken on Connecticut Hill in south central NY - NY's biggest wildlife management area, with a 40+ mile perimeter. Home to many a deer, bear, coyote, fox, rabbit, squirrel, turkey, opossum, raccoon, pheasant, grouse, duck, goose, etc.

FWIW, you and I'll need to do some pm'ing - I'm doing a survival seminar in April and will want to offer up a few MagFires for sale to participants...

I don't think your prices are too high. I think the drop off in sales is due to the people who know you sell them bought all they currently want during the sale. Don't drop your prices, increase your advertising and expand your customer base.

Magfires last a long time, and a given customer only needs one. You need a LOT of customers to keep sales up.

Magfire could at least support you... you realize you aren't listed on their contacts page?

You come up first for me on google adsense using "fire steel", so that's good.

Hang in there... word of mouth takes a while.

Martin,

I am sending an email about wood, mainly from a site dedicated to friction fire making, maybe that will help. Here in the desert almost anything small enough burns easily, always dry! I will email an attachment to you ASAP.
