Hi! Long-time lurker, first time to post; I would be interested in at least one.

I'd like to get a hold of 2 or 3

Hunter Green, OD Green or Black would be cool.

Having just bought five (5) of these I'm very happy with them.

I did ask at the time if a long version existed for CR123A cells.

Put me down for a few. I wonder if the illuminious dials on the compasses would be available as well for this batch? I can imagine these would be hard to source.

This one will fit the CR123A's with just a bit of rattle room.

The luminous compass has not yet made it into Keith's hands. I have one of the Suunto luminous ones and it is good....not a tritium compass however.

I am not certain when these may be available as Keith has to buy a large quantity of them at one time.

Randy,

I'd like 1 of the LONG cases in silver.

Thanks!

Looks interesting. I'd pony up for one, STSA (Subject to Spousal Approval)

Now, with the questions..... How long are they, overall? What kind of compass? (still a SUNTO?) Inner dimensions for the case (clear diameter, clear length)

.....CLIFF

I got word from Keith this morning. He is going to set up and start making these. They should be ready for shipment in about 4 weeks....but I will let you know. No word as to the color, but that will come in his discussions with the anodizer.

These will have exactly the same Suunto jeweled compass as the standard cases. I will have to go out to the car to get my case to do some other dimensions, but measuring the whole case this is what I have:

Standard case is 95mm long including the little lanyard device on the bottom.

Long case is 110mm long also including the lanyard device.

Diameter is the same as the standard cases.

I would like one! I like the red or yellow. Just wish he could do the blaze orange!

Any way to coat the bottom of the cap with the striking material for REI matches?

Well Blaze orange is definately out. Keith will not do powdercoated cases again.

As to the striker on the inside of the cap...that would not be safe and probably not practical for Keith to apply.

REI supplies an nice auxillary striker that rides in the case with the striker surface against the wall, since these wear out the inside surface of cap coating would also not be good forever.
